About Us

Holzner Construction was founded in 1964 by Louis Holzner.

Initially known as L. Holzner Electric Co., the company originally focused on electrical contracting. 
 
Louis spent those early years developing his reputation and that of his company across the State of Connecticut.  L. Holzner Electric Co. quickly became synonymous with quality and reliability.

Decades later, the company has expanded its services as a General Contractor built on that same reputation and those same defining characteristics- quality and reliability.  Based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Holzner Construction today employs over 50 tradespeople, project managers, estimators, engineers and support staff.

We provide general contracting services to federal, state and municipal agencies, as well as commercial property owners and managers.  Our project history includes schools & universities, infrastructure, elevators, water treatment facilities, public housing, historical renovations and marine construction.  Our electrical roots are still evident as well.  Holzner employs licensed electricians and offers electrical contracting services.   Our subsidiary business, Northeast Generator, allows us to specialize in turn-key stand-by generator solutions.
